Frequently Asked Questions
When does Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 release?+
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 launches on August 25, 2026 on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving in fall 2026. The release date is officially confirmed.
How many classes are in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2?+
There are six classes: Marauder, Duelist, Machinist, Hunter, Medic and the fully customizable Specialist. The Specialist is the endgame class, unlocked by leveling the five base classes, and lets you mix major and minor abilities from any class for unique loadouts.
Can I play Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 solo?+
Yes. Solo players are joined by two AI-controlled squadmates. Bring a self-sufficient loadout — the Medic class and fire and cryo ammo are the safest picks — and prioritize enemies like Sirens that call reinforcements, since AI teammates do not coordinate focus fire.
What is horde mode in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2?+
Horde mode is a dedicated endless-wave mode at launch. Your four-marine squad holds a position against escalating Xenomorph waves, mixing every enemy type. It has its own rewards, challenges and leaderboards, and the Specialist is the strongest endgame horde build.
Is Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 cross-platform?+
Yes. Cross-platform play and cross-platform voice chat are available at launch, so PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2 players can squad up together in four-player fireteams.
How much does Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 cost?+
The Standard edition is $49.99. The 40th Anniversary Premium Edition is $69.99 and includes the Ripley and Herk Mondo packs. A standalone Rain Carradine pack is $9.99, and the Alien: Romulus crossover DLC is separate.
